NOT "GODFATHER", - JUST FRIENDS AND BUSINESS
Organized criminals consider themselves business people -  taking financial risks, loans and making proft, like any ordinary lawful business. Modern crime research belive most of the organized crime is based on networking and "cell operations" rather than large mafiaboss-run hiearchies and mafias.

 "CHECHENIFICATION"  OF THE CAUCASUS (2005)
Chechenya is said to be Europes "untold" Yugoslav tradegy. In 2005 I visited Ingoshetia, to make reports on the region while the first post-war parliament elections were being held in Grozny. The war in Chechnya makes the human right situation difficult. Power and law get mixed up, and people live in the world of constant fear, caught between terrorist groups and the military force, courts, police and authorities. The constitutional state is being ruined. Human right organisations document how a “chechenification" is  spreading around over the neighboring republics.  (Norwegian text only)

WHY IS THE U.S. SO DIFFERENT?
Social policy and the labour right situation in the United States of America  is totaly oposite to the Scandinavian social democratic regimes. Why this enormous difference in political choises?  Reportages from labour life in New York and analysis of the different policies, the flexible labour market and the regulated labour market. ART THEFT IN SCANDINAVIA
The armed robbery of  Munchs "Scream" and "Madonna" in Oslo august 2007 is the most famous art theft in Norwegian history. The robbers were convicted in Norwegian courts april 2007. But apart from this one very famous case, art robbery is rare in Scandinavia, and little focused and reported, compared to larger European countries. Spain recently cracked down on a whole liga of organized foreigners and Spaniards robbing archological treasures from the Spanish gold gallions outside Seville.
